Audi Tire Maintenance

Audi Tire

Audi vehicles are known for their precision handling, and your tires play a huge role in this. That is why regular Audi tire maintenance is so essential. Our team has created this guide to Audi tire maintenance, including how to check Audi tire tread and more. When you know your tires are in good condition, you can drive with peace of mind in Boulder and Denver.

When to Inspect Your Tires

We recommend performing a monthly tire inspection. This is a great way to ensure your tires are in good condition before you hit the roads of Aurora and Fort Collins.

The first step is to check your tire pressure manually. This is true even for vehicles with a Tire Pressure Monitoring System. For the most accurate reading, wait until your tires are "cold." If you drove recently, the heat generated during your drive could temporarily increase tire pressure. If your tires are properly inflated, you're all set. If not, add air until they reach the recommended level.

The next step is to look at tire condition. Check for things like gashes or cracks. Make sure there are no embedded objects in your tires. Next, check for signs of wear. Uneven wear patterns could indicate issues like overinflated tires, misaligned wheels, or suspension problems.

How to Check Audi Tire Tread

Grab a penny and learn how to check Audi tire tread below.

  • Place your penny into a tread groove upside down.
  • Look to see if you can see the top of Lincoln's head. If you are able to do so, it means that your tires are below 2/32". They do not have enough tread for safe driving, so they should be replaced without delay.
  • Repeat the penny test on all tires and in multiple locations on each tire.
